As I'm getting into vibe coding, I've been doing a lot of experimentation and learning. The app ideas and their possibilities to solve problems are keeping me up at night, and I don't mind it! The capabilities of the latest AI tools are pure magic to me, and I am here for it.

Okay, so how did Clocktopus come about? One day, my husband Clint, founder and president of The Borgen Project, asked me if I could make an app that would help him schedule meetings across time zones. I was like, "Mmm, you're not using Google Calendar for that?" "No," he says. And so I said, "I gotchu. I'll build it." Then I started clacking away.

I decided to use Lovable because I wanted to try it out. This was my first Lovable project, and I am so proud of it. I had a lot of fun prompting, editing, and pixel pushing because I am a designer, and alignment issues are like slivers in my skin - when they're gone, I can finally breathe ;) Sometimes I wish I could just move elements around like in Figma. But it's all good - it forced me to interact with the agent using my design knowledge and terminology - "Move that thingy thing." Just kidding! It took me about a day and a few hours to build the main UI and functionality. When I had spare time, I came back to it to add a little personality and responsiveness.
